Classes & Schedules

Our classes have been carefully planned to offer cooks a wide range of topics and instruction. From learning the basics, like knife skills and how to stock a pantry, to sophisticated pastry baking, the options are plentiful. The goal for us is to create a fun and relaxed atmosphere for our guests. Men, women, young, old, experienced, novice … everyone is sure to find a class they will enjoy. Class sizes are limited; reservations are recommended, though walk-ins are welcome.

The Evening Schedule will generally be reserved for two hour classes that will be hosted by chefs from restaurants in the area as well as from across the country. Wine tastings, special events as well as classes taught by Jonathan King and Jim Stott will also take place in the evening.

Daytime offers a wonderful array of opportunities to participate in the Stonewall Kitchen Cooking School. "Learn at Lunch" classes offer you the chance to take an hour and a half, have one of the best lunches in town and learn a skill all at the same time. We’ve carefully planned the instruction, demonstrations and samples for mid-day for you to be able to fit in a class during the noontime hour. We’ll make sure you’re in and out on time so you will get back to your busy day. Join colleagues from work, take a friend to lunch for a birthday surprise or simply reserve a spot in a "Learn at Lunch" class for a break in your very busy week.

We’ve invited some of our favorite cookbook writers to visit the beautiful state of Maine and while they are here, we’ve asked them to share some of their personal stories and recipes from their works with you at our Luncheon in their Honor and Cookbook Signings. Get the behind the scenes information on what went into writing their books and enjoy meeting these terrific authors in the intimate setting of the Stonewall Kitchen Cooking School.
