This year, we'll be traveling around the country spreading our love for Wild Maine Blueberry Jam! Teams from Stonewall Kitchen will be visiting specialty food retailers and attending local events. We are looking forward to connecting with our loyal fans and meeting those who have yet to experience our great jams.
Throughout the tour, we'll be handing out free samples and coupons for $2.00 OFF any Stonewall Kitchen jam, jelly and marmalade. Plus at many locations, we'll be offering onsite tastings of our jams and specialty foods.

Stonewall Kitchen Awarded Top Honors for Two New Food Products for 2008.
The awards are given annually by the National Association for the Specialty Food Trade, a not-for-profit business trade association established in 1952 to foster trade, commerce and interest in the specialty food industry.
Stonewall Kitchen’s Balsamic Fig Dressing won “the gold” as Outstanding Salad Dressing for the year. The Barefoot Contessa Pantry Line of products was also acknowledged as national best in the category of jam, preserve or honey with the Barefoot Contessa Lemon Curd.
The NASFT is an international organization composed of domestic and foreign manufacturers, importers, distributors, brokers, retailers, restaurateurs, caterers and others in the specialty foods business. The organization has more than 2,500 current members throughout the U.S. and overseas.
Six leading specialty, supermarket and natural food retailers judged the products in April and June and the awards were announced on June 30, 2008 at the International Fancy Food Show in New York City. Products ranging from pomegranate ice cream to a 50-pound wheel of Vermont Cheddar to Italian pasta sauce studded with black truffles, were reviewed from those nominated by some of the over 6,200 retailers represented at the show.
Balsamic Fig Dressing is an intensely flavored dressing with a mellow tang of the rich balsamic vinegar that blends wonderfully with sweet ripe figs to make a robust dressing or marinade. It is perfect on a salad of baby spinach garnished with poached pears, dried cranberries. Blue cheese and toasted pecans.
Barefoot Contessa Lemon Curd is light, creamy and full of all natural lemon flavor and is one of Ina Garten’s favorite classic recipes. Spooned onto a scone it makes an incredible breakfast or teatime snack.
Charitable Giving
Stonewall Kitchen has been proud to support national and local charities over the past ten years. Designating a percentage of sales of several products (cause marketing) to various agencies has helped not only to build the donation for these organizations, but helps to also promote awareness of these worthy causes. The Save the Children Foundation, Share Our Strength, ARS and the Child Abuse and Neglect Council of Maine have received large contributions from Stonewall Kitchen from the sales of different items. Our commitment to the environment has bee recognized in part with our donation to the Nature Conservancy of Maine. And, with a continuing interest in the education and prevention of the spread of HIV and AIDS, the company donates services, goods and funding to local in national agencies dealing with this cause.
Stonewall Kitchen is pleased to also be able to help the town of York. They are active participants in the schools system, offering jobs to high school age children, providing job shadowing opportunities, hosting field trips and giving donations to local schools fund raising projects. A senior from York High School is chosen each year to receive the Stonewall Kitchen Scholarship in the amount of $2,000. Our staff is encouraged to participate in mentoring activities and several employees participate in Literacy Month in the schools by visiting classrooms and reading with classes on the elementary level. Additionally, Stonewall Kitchen contributes dozens of product donations monthly for various good causes and sponsors many local fundraisers. In the past year we have focused much of our local giving to the building fund for the town library and supporting the local food pantry.
