Responsibilities to Include:
- Clean pots, pans, silverware, glassware, plates and kitchen equipment
- Assure dish area is supplied with all cleaning supplies (i.e. chemicals, garbage bags and scrubbies)
- Sweep and mop kitchen hourly
- Maintain all garbage and recycle receptacles, sanitize area around all cans
- Break and remove all boxes and transport to appropriate location for disposal
- Assist chef in the general cleaning of kitchen equipment, as well as counter tops, stoves, and glass cases
- Assist in the preparation of certain bulk items (i.e. peel carrots, potatoes, onions)
- Restock all plates, glassware, and silver to appropriate locations
- Maintain cleanliness of dish area, as well as pot sinks
Additional Responsibilities can Include:
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures
- May be required to work in excess of 40 hours per week periodically as business needs require
Education, Experience, and Skills
- Positive, upbeat, energetic manner with previous café experience a plus
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs., stand several hours a day, and climb ladders
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, on a regular basis
