The Lead Prep Assistant will assist Cooking School Manager and guest Chefs with menu food preparation, organization of daily demonstration including class instruction and direct assistance to demonstrating Chef. Specific responsibilities include:

• Prepare food for evening or daily demonstrations in coordination with Cooking School Manager or guest Chef
• Serve as a role model for cooking school associates in guest service by making the guest experience the priority
• Reinforce guest service principles by coaching staff on their successes and challenges
• Utilize G.U.E.S.T. guidelines and training resources to educate team on product, improve selling skills and achieve business goals
• Contribute in management and cooking school meetings, offering suggestions for associate development, sales opportunities and organizational improvements
• Effectively perform operations functions: opens and closes the cooking school, register and back office management procedures
• Maintain visual standards including merchandise and food presentation, signage, lighting, and general maintenance

This position requires a self-motivated, detail-oriented individual with the following skills and experience:

• 1-2 years cooking/food prep experience
• Effective communication (verbal and written), organization and leadership skills
• 2 to 3 years of manufacturing experience required, preferably in the food industry, including product handling and equipment sanitation
• Ability to motivate and influence others through actions and examples
• Professional attitude and attendance, must be creative, flexible and adaptable to change
• Computer literate (Microsoft Office and Excel a must)
