Assistant Store Manager

We are looking for an Assistant Store Manager in our Nashua, NH Company Store.

The Assistant Store Manager is responsible for supporting the Store Manager for the overall sales, profitability, customer service, visual strategies, operations, and inventory management. Responsibilities include supervising and motivating the store team, providing inspiration to drive sales and exceed customer service expectation through coaching, providing effective feedback. Assistant store managers must promote a fun and positive work environment that fosters open communication and encourages teamwork and creativity.

Specific Responsibilities Include:
  • Assist guests and increase sales by providing product information and other services, including creation of gift baskets, discussion of special promotions, and daily product demonstrations
  • Oversee sales floor, including ensuring store meets cleanliness and visual merchandising standards, Store Associates are appropriate zones and taking breaks as scheduled
  • Efficiently and accurately process all transactions at the cash wrap
  • Assist with operational and merchandising duties, such as cycle counts, bi-annual inventory and floor moves
  • Assist Company Store Manager with development and training of staff to ensure a high level of service and motivation
  • Assist Company Store Manager with operational activities (for example, ordering, receiving, opening and closing)
  • Supervise and delegate work to staff and provide Company Store Manager with input on store associates’ work performance and conducting corrective action meetings as needed

  • Assist with new store openings and staff coverage in other stores as needed
  • May be required to attend meetings or training sessions outside normal work schedule
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures
  • May be required to work in excess of 40 hours per week periodically as business needs require
  • Participate in Serve Safe training
  • Assist with planning and supervision of local events
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs, on occasion, stand several hours a day and climb ladders, bend, reach, squat, kneel, twist, push and pull and perform repetitive motions
  • Perform other job duties as assigned
