The Café Associate is responsible for assisting our guests in a helpful, positive manner while maintaining the appearance of the Café to company standards.
Specific Responsibilities Include:
- Assist guest in food selections and provide information for serving/reheating for off-premise dining, including taking of and ringing up of orders
- Efficiently and accurately process transactions at the cash register
- Build display cases with daily products and rotate counter displays, including sending older products to Chef for utilization
- Stock all take-out containers and organize shelving unit under glass case and maintain cleanliness and organization of these areas throughout shift
- Assist kitchen staff in general cleaning of kitchen (i.e., sweeping, mopping, wiping counters, carrying pots to dish area) as needed
- Complete inventory sheets for products needed
- Maintain detail knowledge of menu items, including ingredients, preparation, and proper pronunciation
- Communicate with Café Manager regarding issues or concerns from guests
Education, Experience, and Skills:
- Positive, upbeat, energetic manner with previous café or sales experience a plus
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs., stand several hours a day, and climb ladders
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evening and weekends, on a regular basis
