Café Supervisor

The Café Supervisor is responsible for working with the Café Manager to provide effective and efficient operations of the Café consistent with providing exceptional guest services and meeting sales goals.

Specific Responsibilities Include:
  • Models a customer first attitude, delivers exceptional customer service and supervises staff to ensure they do the same
  • Communicates clearly, concisely and accurately to staff in implementing company programs to execute action plans that meet operational and organizational objectives
  • Demonstrates knowledge and leadership skills to promote a positive team environment by maintaining ongoing training and coaching of staff with regards to, but not limited to, product knowledge, exceptional guest services, safety guidelines and proper sanitation and food handling procedures
  • Identify problems, concerns and opportunities for improvement in order to provide Café Manager with the information needed to operate at the highest levels of guest service, visual merchandising, product quality, food safety and cleanliness standards
  • Works with Café Manager to coordinate special events and private functions
  • Provides on going supervision on the proper use and maintenance of all Café equipment
  • Update and maintain all aspects of POS systems and programs as well as maintaining clean, well-written signage for all food items
  • Assist with ordering of food products, paper products, beverages and supplies
  • Assist with the monthly inventories
  • Assist Café Manager with Monitoring and managing controllable expenditures to budget


Education, Experience, and Skills:
  • 1-2 years retail or restaurant experience with at least 1 year supervisory experience with ability to work evenings and weekends on a regular basis
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Computer literate (Microsoft Office preferred)
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs., bend, stretch and stand for long periods of time
