The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for supporting and assisting Sales Managers with increasing sales and penetration of new business within assigned territory. Some positions require regular evenings hours, based on assigned territory.
Specific Responsibilities Include:
- Process orders received by entering into computer system, providing information to brokers and follow up regarding orders and inquiries
- Develop and maintain Sales Manager relationships to develop sales and meet territory sales goals by providing proactive service, introduction of new programs, and analysis of current business
- Conduct sales analysis of territory (e.g., by broker, account, product line, sales programs) to proactively identify and act upon trends and opportunities and maximize sales
- Conduct telemarketing calls within territory to meet goals established by Regional Sales Manager (e.g., total sales account, in specific product line, for special promotional program, etc.)
- Proactively manage guest complaints and provide solutions to problems, (e.g., incorrect items received, late orders, out-of-stock items)
- Follow up on and develop leads generated for territory (e.g., from trade shows) to develop accounts
- Support Sales Managers participation in regional trade shows within territory
Education, Experience, and Skills:
- BA or equivalent experience with 3+ years customer service/sales experience, preferably in consumer goods market
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office preferred), specifically spreadsheet applications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
