Key Holder

We are looking for a Part-Time Key Holder at our Avon, CT Company Store.

The Key Holder will take part in the opening and closing operations of the Company Store, as well as, assume all responsibilities for store operations, including sales volume, outstanding guest service and inventory accuracy when Managers are not present.

Specific Responsibilities Include:
  • Assist guests and increase sales by providing exceptional guest service in the Company Store, consistent with division standards
  • Serve as a role model for store associates in sales generation and guest service by making the guest experience the priority
  • Reinforce guest service principles by coaching staff on their successes and challenges
  • Utilize G.U.E.S.T. guidelines and training resources to educate team on product, improve selling skills and achieve business goals
  • Contribute in management and store meetings, offering suggestions for associate development, sales opportunities and organizational improvements
  • Effectively perform operational functions: opens and closes the store, register and back office management procedures
  • Maintain visual standards including merchandise presentation, signage, lighting and general maintenance
  • Monitor inventory levels and communicate discrepancies to Managers
  • Monitor and manage actual expenditures to be within budget. Control payroll hours to plan, as the primary controllable expense, as well as adjusting to current business needs
  • Assume additional management responsibilities in the absence of Manager

Education, Experience, and Skills:
  • 1-3 years previous retail sales experience or management experience in a customer related field
  • Effective communication (written and oral), organization and leadership skills
  • Ability to motivate and influence others through actions and examples
  • Computer literate (Microsoft Office and Excel)
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs., stand several hours a day and climb ladders
  • Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays
