Stonewall Kitchen Goes to Washington for "Taste of Maine"
Hosted by the Maine State Chamber of Commerce and attended by Senator Susan Collins and Senator Angus King, the “Taste of Maine” showcased Maine’s rich culinary culture on Capitol Hill

York, Maine, April 30, 2013 — On Tuesday, April 23, 2013, Stonewall Kitchen participated in the Maine State Chamber of Commerce’s “Taste of Maine,” a reception on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C. showcasing an impressive array of the many outstanding culinary products Maine has to offer.

More than twenty Maine farms, restaurants, breweries, distilleries and vineyards participated in the “Taste of Maine” reception, held in the historic Kennedy Caucus Room of the Russell Senate Office Building. Stonewall Kitchen presented a sampling of jams to more than 600 attendees, including Senators Collins and King and several other U.S. Senators and guests, who were on hand to sample Maine-made foods and beverages.

“We were so honored to participate in the ‘Taste of Maine’,” said Janine Somers, Director of Marketing. “This event was a wonderful opportunity for us to support the great State of Maine and showcase our products alongside so many great Maine vendors, our Senators and the Maine State Chamber of Commerce. We look forward to continuing our partnership for years to come.”

“Mainers take a great deal of pride in ‘Made in Maine’ products and the Maine State Chamber of Commerce is always eager to help get the word out about the abundance of our great state; from our farms to the ocean, to our restaurants and breweries,” said Dana Connors, President of the Maine State Chamber of Commerce. “The ‘Taste of Maine’ reception was a huge success, and we look forward to hosting this event on Capitol Hill again.”
