Catherine Walthers is the author of three cookbooks, including Greens, Glorious Greens! with co-author Johnna Albi; Raising the Salad Bar: Inventive Salads with Beans, Whole Grains, Pasta, Chicken and More; and the newly released Soups + Sides. She has worked the past 15 years as a private chef and cooking instructor in the Boston area and on Martha's Vineyard, where she lives with her husband and son. . She is the food editor of the Martha's Vineyard Magazine and very active in the local foods movement, currently as president of Slow Foods Martha's Vineyard.
