About This Chef...

Former chief editor and current editor-at-large for Fine Cooking magazine, Susie Middleton, is not only an accomplished chef and writer, she is also a farmer. Her latest book, Fresh From the Farm: A Year of Recipes and Stories offers wonderfully simple recipes that celebrate cooking with the seasons and is a perfect follow up to her two previous books, Fast, Fresh & Green and The Fresh & Green Table. On her website Susie blogs for the Huffington Post and writes about growing and cooking vegetables and what life is like on a small farm. She and her partner, Roy Riley, founded and operate Green Island Farm on Martha’s Vineyard where they have 500 laying hens and a small farm stand where they sell their eggs and vegetables. Last but certainly not least, Susie is also a blue-ribbon alumnae of The Institute of Culinary Education (ICE) in New York.
