Growing up in an Italian household, George has long history of enjoying and preparing food. With a restaurateur for a grandmother, food is truly in his genes. George’s love for the kitchen began with a restaurant job, and eventually led him to his food career in Maine. Before opening his own restaurant and catering business; George’s, he worked at well-known eateries in Portland, including The Great Lost Bear, The Roma, Brian Boru and Walter’s Café. Currently, George is the Executive Chef at Rippleffect, an eco-educational facility in Casco Bay. His enjoyment with experimenting with different styles, cultures and a variety of local, fresh seafood and produce brings a pleasant variety of tastes to his menus.
