About This Chef...

Michael Sanders has been living and writing in Maine for almost twenty years. Two of his early books about food were From Here, You Can’t See Paris, and Families of the Vine, which focused on the farmers, winemakers, and chefs of southwest France. He has recently published a cookbook featuring Maine chefs entitled, Fresh From Maine: Stories and Recipes From Our Best Chefs, and a book on Maine cocktails titled Drinking in Maine. He has also written articles for the New York Times, Saveur, Afar, Gourmet, DownEast magazine and is a founding member of Slow Food Portland, a non-profit organization that celebrates the rich culinary and agricultural heritage of Maine.
