With its bounty of fresh ingredients and cultural diversity, Chef Michael Specker credits his culinary style to being raised in the San Francisco bay area. A graduate of the California Culinary Academy in San Francisco, he has been a professional chef for almost 20 years and has worked side-by-side with some of the top chefs in the country. In 1999, he and his family relocated to the coast of Maine where he has held positions as Executive chef of the Newcastle Inn in Newcastle Maine and Executive Sous chef at the Wentworth By the Sea in New Castle, New Hampshire. For the last six years he has owned and operated the Brixham General Store; a cafe and catering company located right here in York, Maine.
