Since 1925 Le Creuset has produced cookware pieces of innovative design and exceptional quality. Today's cast iron pieces are still produced in the original foundry in Fresnoy-Le-Grand, France. Two sand molds are created for each molten iron piece and then destroyed after use, so no two pieces are alike. Pieces pass through 15 craftsman's hands for: polishing, finishing, two coats of enamel spraying, two firings and final inspections.
This meticulous attention to detail produces cookware unlike any other. Le Creuset pots evenly conduct and retain heat; perfect for slow cooking. Heavy- duty lids create a solid seal to retain heat and moisture and cast-iron handles are integrated into the pot.
