The tradition of Pumpkin Pie
A time honored recipe for today
The popularity of pumpkin pie comes straight from the New England colonist interpretation of cooking lessons from the natives. Resourceful as they were, they used the pumpkin shell for a pie baking dish by filling it with milk, eggs, honey and spices. After cleverly cooking it on top of the fire coals they had a pie befitting a Plymouth Rock pot-luck dinner.
Our version of this classic recipe is full of fresh pumpkin flavor enhanced with brown sugar, spices and just a hint of lemon; an easy to make pie, perfect for all your pot-lucks and fancier holiday meals.
Pumpkin, Sugar, Brown Sugar, Lemon Juice, Spices
I made this pumpkin pie just to see what it would taste like. It is rich, creamy and delicous! It had to be the best pumpkin pie I've ever tasted.
You won't be disappointed!
