- 3/4 cup buttermilk or whole milk
- 1 egg, slightly beaten
- 2 Tablespoons flour

- Combine Cheddar Jalapeño Cornbread Mix, buttermilk (or milk), egg and flour. Mix thoroughly.
- Heat enough oil to fry hush puppies in a medium saucepan or fryer to 350° F. Drop batter in by the tablespoonful a few at a time. Once the bottom turns golden flip over (do not disturb them until this point or they may fall apart). Continue to fry until golden brown on all sides. Drain well on paper towels. Continue until all batter is used. Serve immediately.
