The first coffees we roasted were for our friends. COFFEE ROASTED FOR FRIENDS® is more than a slogan — it is our mission and how we do business. Coffee is a social stimulus that brings people together where a community is formed and friends are made.
We source high-quality, non-GMO, certified organic arabica coffee from the great coffee regions of Colombia, Nicaragua, Peru, Indonesia, and Honduras. We slow-roast it to deliver a big, bold flavor.
Vermont Coffee Company supports our community with monetary and coffee donations to organizations working to address food and shelter related challenges. Vermont Coffee Company is proud to support John Graham Housing & Services, Vermont Food Bank, H.O.P.E. and Salvation Farms.
In 2018, Vermont Coffee Company became one of the first coffee roasters in the nation to roast coffee with 100% renewable bio-energy. The electricity comes from a combination of wind and local dairy farms. The dairy farms operate anaerobic digesters to extract methane gas from cow manure and convert it into electricity (known locally as Cow Power). The energy powering the coffee roasters is biogas generated by a landfill built specifically to recover methane from organic materials. Our kraft bags are recyclable and compostable.
