Assistant Store Manager

Full-Time Year-Round

We are looking for a Full-Time Assistant Store Manager at our Rochester, NH Company Store.

The Assistant Store Manager is responsible for supporting the Store Manager for the overall sales, profitability, customer service, visual strategies, operations, and inventory management.  Responsibilities include supervising and motivating the store team, providing inspiration to drive sales and exceed customer service expectation through coaching and providing effective feedback.  Assistant store managers must promote a fun and positive work environment that fosters open communication and encourages teamwork and creativity.


Specific Responsibilities Include:

  • Assist guests and increase sales by providing exceptional guest service in the Company Store, consistent with division standards.
  • Oversee sales floor, including ensuring store meets cleanliness and visual merchandising standards, Store Associates are appropriately zoned and taking breaks as scheduled
  • Utilize G.U.E.S.T. guidelines and training resources to educate team on product, improve selling skills and achieve business goals.
  • Effective and consistent transaction processing at the cash wrap.
  • Assist with operational activities (e.g., ordering, receiving, opening and closing, cycle counts, inventory and floor moves)
  • Supervise, delegate and coach store staff and provide Company Store Manager with input on store associates’ work performance.
  • Assist with development and training of staff to ensure a high level of service and motivation.

Education, Experience & Skills:

  • 3-5 years retail experience with at least 2-year supervisory experience.
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Strong organizational and communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Computer literate (Microsoft office preferred)
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs, on occasion, stand several hours a day and climb ladders, bend, reach, squat, kneel, twist, push and pull and perform repetitive motions
  • Effective and consistent transaction processing at the cash wrap.
