No better feeling than arriving to camp on a mildly sunny day with your besties. A native New Yorker who escaped the fast pace of NYC for the beauty and food scene in Portland. I find myself continuing to escape to quieter, simpler places and the lake is one of them. The breeze from the water, the sounds of the ducks, the sun hitting your face. Every little thing by the lake brings you joy including some of our favorite items from Stonewall Kitchen. I've been a fan and a loyal customer of theirs for years. So, whenever I get the chance to work with them - I jump at it! This time was no different so for us it was a no brainer.

This week - we do some lake living with Stonewall Kitchen. Our to-do list goes a little like this:

1. Taking it easy

My favorite part of a little getaway has got to be the mornings. Everything is so peaceful, and breakfast is by far the superior of meals. Do you agree?

We like to make breakfast the funnest meal of the day. Which is why we take these little opportunities to make breakfast more of a dessert.

But first... Coffee

We had to go with Stonewall Kitchen's Farmhouse Breakfast Blend in this adorable Puppy mug! Why the breakfast blend? Well, see, I'm Colombian so I love my coffee. I also don't put any milk or sugar in my coffee which most people find odd, but I really love the taste of this blend and it truly doesn't require much of anything for a great taste. It's just good 100% pure ground coffee.

Seriously though, how cute is this mug!

For the main event - we went with our favorite dessert for breakfast item: WAFFLES!

We know we know - not the healthiest choice but life is too short, and we like to indulge once in a while. So, there was no better additive to this meal than Stonewall's Dessert Sauce Collection. I'm talking Chocolate Peanut Butter, Sea Salt Caramel, Dark Chocolate Sea Salt Caramel and bittersweet Chocolate. Now if that's not an all-star line up - I don't know what is. Greg went straight for the Sea Salt Caramel and me... I'm a chocolate peanut butter kind of girl. Needless to say it started our morning off right! These were perfect and there was so much left over, we had some for snacks later on too. Can you say pretzel sticks in Dark Chocolate Sea Salt Caramel sauce? Y-U-M

Hey no one said it was pretty but it sure was delicious!

You better believe this breakfast gave us the energy to keep up with the Gabriel family's best swimmer: Bella!

All that swimming can work up an appetite and is it really a day at the lake without S'mores? I think not.

Stonewall kitchen has this awesome S'mores Stick set to get you on the right page ;)

Add to it a Maine platter and boom! Everything you need.

This getaway sure would not have been complete without some of our favorites from Stonewall Kitchen. My favorite was the dessert sauces we used in our waffles for sure! What's your Stonewall Kitchen lakeside favorite?
