This decadently rich fruit butter is the perfect topping for your favorite ice cream, cake or pastry. For a sumptuous breakfast treat, spoon atop pancakes, waffles or French toast. Create an elegant desert by filling a pastry or tart shell.

I spread this on banana bread. However, another review by Auntie Connie gave great ideas for using it. I just ordered a pizza grill. will try it out on the pizza! I used this on a pork roast and it added lots of flavor. So many uses...so little time.

I've tasted all the fig butters, spreads and chutneys I can find, and none tops this. It's perfectly balanced, not too sweet and the fig flavor shines. Walnuts add a welcome crunch. Love this! I love to roll out my favorite pizza dough and then grill (or bake) it unadorned. When it's hot out of the oven, I spread it with a few tablespoons of Fig & Walnut Butter, top that with a bit of caramelized onion and a sprinkling of freshly grated Pecorino Romano. A couple of handfuls of fresh arugula top that, and then finally a wee drizzle of extra virgin olive oil and a sprinkle of salt and pepper. Now that's a perfect pizza for a summer night! For breakfast I love to stir a small spoonful of Fig & Walnut Butter into my morning bowl of plain, non-fat Greek yogurt and then sprinkle on a little of my favorite granola. Delicious! And here's my last, secret "recipe." Just eat a spoonful of Fig & Walnut Butter right off the spoon. It's that good.
