The distinctive tomatillo
A popular condiment for mexican and southwestern cuisine.
The tomatillo, is as alluring as an illuminated paper lantern; beholding a spherically green tomato hidden behind its paper thin husk, a distinct, yet welcoming collaboration of tart sweetness. This green tomato is the main ingredient in Stonewall Kitchen Salsa Verde, based on a traditional Mexican recipe that blends cilantro with a hint of chili to a tomatillo base. It is a wonderful accompaniment to all grilled meats, fish and poultry, and we especially love it served with enchiladas.
Tomatillo, Chili Peppers, Onion, Serrano Pepper Puree (Serrano pepper, water, citric acid), Jalapenos, Garlic, Cilantro, Salt, Canola Oil, Lime Juice Concentrate, Spices.
Use with chips, dips, eggs, meats or tacos, popular in Mexican and Southwestern cuisine.
This is a favorite of mine, love it! It is not too hot or spicy to where it is overpowering so that you could not enjoy it!
