  • Have plenty of glassware. You should plan for at least one glass per guest and at least one additional glass per guest.
  • Have plenty of ice. In addition to what your ice maker can make, have bags of ice in your freezer for backup.
  • Know your guests What do they like to drink? Are you going to have an open bar or are you going to limit your beverages to specific cocktails?
  • Have plenty of cocktail napkins for drinks as well as appetizers and snacks.
  • Have essential bar tools. Set your bar up ahead of time and have all drink ingredients and tools needed to make the drinks available. Don’t wait until the last minute to find the corkscrew to open the wine or find ingredients after your guests have arrived.
