Causes We Care About

When we got our start at the farmers’ market in 1991, the local community embraced our business and gathered around us in support. Today, we’re so fortunate to be in a position where we can give back to the causes, people and places that we hold near and dear. Below, you’ll find our Pillars of Giving, which are the main areas of focus for our year-round charitable endeavors. In addition to monetary aid, we contribute products, host public and internal fundraisers, organize donation drives and generally raise awareness to assist our non-profit partners.

LGBTQ+

We’re committed to supporting the LGBTQ+ community, which is why we give to several organizations dedicated to actionable allyship and change. These exceptional groups offer everything from educational materials for families to appointments with trained counselors and share informative, inspiring stories from LGBTQ+ voices across the globe.

Cancer

We believe that supporting those going through a health diagnosis is crucial. In an effort to alleviate the many complications that come during such a difficult time, we give to several cancer foundations, the American Heart Association and Camp Sunshine, a Maine summer camp that serves as a retreat for children with life-threatening illnesses and their families.

Families in Crisis

From homelessness to domestic violence, we’re dedicated to aiding organizations that provide empowerment and resources to families experiencing crisis. These action-led groups offer help in the form of a 24-hour hotline, shelter programs and free transportation for those who require access to medical care.

Food Insecurity

No one should face hunger, which is why we partner with local food banks. By offering solutions for families experiencing food insecurity, these organizations actively work toward reducing the impact of hunger to make our communities a stronger, healthier place.

Local Community

We believe it’s important to give back to our community. From providing grants for innovative classroom initiatives to protecting state parks, these incredible organizations work hard to make New England a great place to live.
