For The ‘Nacho Average’ Dads

June 12, 2020 York, Maine

… See what we did there? Father’s Day this year may be a bit different but that doesn’t stop all of us from showing the favorite man in our life how much we appreciate them. And, what better way than with food?!

If you’re stuck on what to make, look no further! We took our Father’s Day recipe ideas to the (virtual) streets and asked all of you what you’re planning on cooking up this year. Let me tell you, after reading all the answers, I had to participate in some serious eats!

Below you’ll find a compilation of some incredibly delicious recipe ideas for you to consider when you’re creating your Father’s Day menu but be warned, you may not want to read these on an empty stomach!

Breakfast. “Waffles are just pancakes with abs.”

Everyone knows that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. So your dad wakes up, he walks downstairs and on the table he sees…

Breakfast Option #1: Your Traditional Fuel
A stack of traditional pancakes made with our Farmhouse Pancake & Waffle Mix and drizzled with a generous amount of our Organic Bourbon-Barrel Aged Maple Syrup. Pair that with some fresh fruit, a big glass of OJ and a hot cup of coffee using our Farmhouse Breakfast Blend Coffee.

Breakfast Option #2: The “Maine” Meal
This option starts with popping open a jar of our Wild Maine Blueberry Jam, setting it on the table waiting for the blueberry scones to be done in the oven! While he’s waiting for the timer to go off, serve him up a hot cup of joe or if coffee isn’t his thing, pour some Wild Maine Blueberry Tea in his favorite mug!

Breakfast Option #3: The “Going All Out” Breakfast
Start with a celebratory Bloody Mary featuring Bloody Mary Olives and other fun toppings such as pickles, bacon, shrimp, asparagus or cheese! When he’s happily sipping on his liquid (pre)meal, use our Traditional Crepe Mix to cook up a savory treat with asparagus, salmon and herb cheese.

Lunch. “Alpaca lunch if you come along.”

We suggest a light lunch because dinner will end the day with a bang. Mid-day fuel is key for a happy dad! Whether your family is going for a walk, doing house projects at home or finding another adventure, make sure to pack…

Lunch Option #1: Sandwich and Snacks
Top your grilled chicken sandwich with our Roasted Garlic Aioli and don’t forget to grab the Ultimate Bar Mix for a little crunch compliment.

Lunch Option #2: A Seaside Lunch
Mix lobstah with our Farmhouse Mayo, toast a roll, line with a piece of romaine lettuce and fill it up with your lobster mix for a delicious roll! Cook up some fries and pair it with our Country Ketchup. Tastes real nice with a cold beer like a light IPA or a Pilsner.

Lunch Option #3: Let’s Guac and Roll!
Make your famous homemade tacos and lay out guacamole, using our Guacamole Starter, and our Mild Tomato Salsa for the toppings. You can’t eat tacos without a delicious Margarita, right?

Dinner. “Lettuce Celebrate.”

Treat him to a delicious meal before you call it a day! Here’s what you may have going on in your kitchen and believe me, a few of us from Stonewall may just join in at the dinner table…

Dinner Option #1: The Ultimate Moo
Grill up some burger patties and top them with our Chipotle Aioli, lettuce, tomato slices, bacon and American cheese. Share the plate with a side of fries and our Horseradish Aioli for dipping!

Dinner Option #2: A Chill Meal
Combine the Arrabbiata Sauce and Chili Starter for a spicy chili base. Lightly drizzle our Garlic Parmesan Dipping Oil over sliced bread and toast for garlic bread. Serve with his favorite glass of red wine!

Dinner Option #3: Restuarant Quality Meal
Top your roasted pork loin with our Classic Fig Jam. Share the plate with a mix of fresh herbs, cherry tomatoes, cucumbers, bell peppers and red onion with Orzo for a side salad.

Dessert. “You Are Weird Dough.”

Who doesn’t like dessert? For the man with a sweet tooth, here's a few options...

Dessert Option #1: A Smokey Treat
Treat your dad to a Smoked Manhattan and don’t forget to add a few of our Bourbon Bada Bing Cherries. We all know it's the cherry that brings it over the top!

Dessert Option #2: An Ice Cream Sandwich
Bake up our Classic Chocolate Chip Cookie Mix the night before so that the night of, you can add a scoop of his favorite ice cream in between two cookies and drizzle some of our Sea Salt Caramel Sauce over the top for a refreshing treat!

Dessert Option #3: You’re the Zest Dessert
Use our Lemon Curd as the main ingredient in your Lemon Curd Pie and pair it with a (big) scoop of vanilla bean ice cream! You can’t go wrong with that flavor combination!
