Heat a cast iron pan or heavy sauté pan on medium-high heat, or turn your grill on medium-high to preheat.
Season steaks on both sides with salt and pepper. If using a pan, add 1 tsp. cooking oil then gently place your steaks in the pan. Sear steaks evenly on both sides until you reach desired doneness, about 4 minutes on each side for medium to medium rare.
Remove from heat and allow to rest 5 minutes. Slice, serve and top with warmed Port Wine Mushroom Sauce.
